A spokesperson for Miami international airport said that four of the six concourses had been evacuated and a police bomb squad had arrived and were clearing the area of any potential threats and other devices.

In total it is thought around 100-200 people have been evacuated from the airport and there will be no word on when it will reopen until the police are happy there is no threat to passenger safety.

Flights destined for the airport have been diverted to alternative airports and is thought the disruption could carry on for some time.

The traffic around the airport is in chaos as roads are blocked and people waiting to get picked up have started to walk from the airport to nearest the point so they can find transportation.

After 9-11 situations like this are taking extremely seriously and the police and investigating authorises will take their time to clear the airport and make sure there is no more hidden threats.

RBS has announced that 200 of these employees will be offered the opportunity to move down to their other offices on Cadogan street.

The move is a bitter blow for Glasgow but it was not unexpected. It was back in May the firm announced that over 2000 jobs were going to be cut after a ruling from the European Commission that ordered the sale of this arm of the company.

There has however been a back lash from unions who maintain this is still a job cutting exercise and it is just part of the fall out caused by the company’s irresponsible behaviour.

The unions are now calling on RBS to sit down and come clean with their planned job cuts over the next few years. The unions have also pointed the finger at the government and claimed they could have done more to try and prevent these job losses.

However in reality the government is going to struggle with these issues over the next few years as companies start to make redundancies. The fact is economically, and socially, things are going to get very hard over the next few years and job losses are going come as a result.

They are still hurting from a crushing home defeat to the All Blacks last weekend. South Africa had the initiative with just five minutes to go when New Zealand managed to get two late tries and snatch the win. The game was played at the new Soccer stadium in front of 90,000 supporters.

However it is not going to be an easy task with a very talented Australia side determined to get an away win in this year’s competition. It became real when Google applied for a patent that help recognise when a search query involves a particular entity, and if that entity can be associated with a specific website, it may show multiple results.

To make this more simple to understand go on to Google and search Apple, Reuters News or Dell Help, they will show the same domain dominating the majority of the search results. This is a significant change in Google’s search engine, before there would be two or three results for the priority domains.

A Google spokes person said,

“We’ve launched a change to our ranking algorithm that will make it much easier for users to find a large number of results from a single site. For queries that indicate a strong user interest in a particular domain, we’ll now show more results from the relevant site.”

The change seems to put more of a focus on the searcher, the search engine is asking them to think a bit more when they search. The move is going to cause a lot of problems for affiliate firms that were using sites to try and rank on the first page of these search terms.

However the move has received a large amount of criticism. Many people believe the firms who have been knocked off page one will now be forced to use pay per click and Google will reap the benefits

There is no doubt there is less choice on the front page on these search terms and we will have to wait and see if this is a good or bad thing for users.
